04.11.2008 - Some solid results for Kart 1 Racing in the final round of PSC

Kart 1 Racing competed in the final round of the Premier State Cup held at Eastern Creek International Karting Raceway held over 1st & 2nd November. In the Rookie class, Kart 1/Top Kart looked good to take home the first 4 positions, however after some close racing Jonathan Venter took home the win over Dylan Higgins. After solid drives both Jordan Zammit and Andreas Chronis failed to finish.

Phil Maxfield sported the new Arrow sticker kit on his Arrow XE-28 and certainly showed the competition that he was up for the challenge. Phil look very impressive leading the pack right up the 2nd last lap, unfortunately a pass from Thomas Phillips sent Phil back to 5th place.

In Senior National Light Aaron Borg was sporting a plaster cast on his left arm after a football match with friends. Borg was determined that the cast was not going to stop him from racing and securing a strong result for the PSC championship, unfortunately Matthew Waters was too good on the day. Borg held on to take out 2nd on the day and 2nd in the overall SNL championship.

Clubman Heavy produced some very close racing as always. Jason Varley finished a commendable 4th position behind some very   tough competition.

Junior National Heavy had some very close and exciting racing all weekend and the final was no different. Nathan Morcom was in the mix all race and eventually finished 3rd. Whilst in Junior Clubman Morcom was able to secure the championship win with his 7th place finish. This was Nathan's last race with Kart 1 Racing as he moves on to the National Formula Ford Series. Kart 1 Racing wishes Nathan all the very best in his future racing efforts.

Matthew Lopino was the surprise packet in Junior Clubman finished a very impressive 3rd in the final.

Congratulations to all Kart 1 Racing drivers for their efforts in this years Premier State Cup.
